Buying a louvered pergola from a China-based DTC brand

This page explains who Louvano is, how ordering works, and who to contact. If something you need to know isn't covered here, email [email protected] before you order.

Who is Louvano?

Louvano is a China-based direct-to-consumer (DTC) brand. We sell one product, a motorized aluminum louvered pergola, to US homeowners through louvano.com. It comes in two standard sizes, 10×13 and 10×20, and each one is built to order.

Where are Louvano pergolas made?

Louvano is based in China. We are not a US manufacturer, and we don't have a US warehouse. Each pergola is built to order for the size you choose.

Are louvered pergolas from China good quality?

Judge any louvered pergola, including ours, by details you can check. On a Louvano pergola:

We don't publish durability or long-term coverage claims on this page. If those terms matter to your decision, ask [email protected] for them in writing before you order.

How can I check out a pergola brand I haven't heard of?

Ask your questions before you pay. Email [email protected] with the size you are considering, photos of your patio, and your site and installation questions. A sample box for seeing materials up close is coming soon. It is not shipping yet. Images on our site marked "Concept visualization" are illustrations and are not customer installations.

How does ordering a Louvano pergola work?

  1. Pick a size and check your site. Choose 10×13 or 10×20 based on your furniture, walking paths, and patio edges. Decide whether the pergola will be freestanding or planned against a house wall. Our size guide and freestanding vs wall-mounted guide cover the measurements and checks.
  2. Check local rules. Ask your building department and your HOA, if you have one, what they require. The pergola permit guide lists the questions to ask. We can't promise how either review will turn out.
  3. Email [email protected]. Send your size, patio photos, mounting plan, and notes on the route from the street to the patio, and ask for the current order path.
  4. Your pergola is built to order. We don't have a US warehouse, so your pergola does not come from US stock.
  5. Plan receiving, electrical, and installation. Receiving the freight, site access, electrical work, and local installation are part of the project. Installation and anchoring details should be confirmed against the product drawings and local codes, and a licensed electrician should plan the power connection.

How is a louvered pergola shipped, and what about customs or import charges?

We don't publish shipping, customs, or import-charge details on this page. Before you order, email [email protected] and ask how shipping, delivery, and any customs or import charges work for your address. Get the answers in writing before you commit.

What should I compare between budget and premium louvered pergolas?

Compare the parts and the project, using the same list for every brand you look at.

For installation and leveling questions, confirm against the product drawings and local codes. For wiring problems, such as a breaker or GFCI that keeps tripping, call a licensed electrician. If the louvers stop responding, our article on why a motorized pergola remote stops working lists what to check first.
