How much does a motorized pergola cost?

A Louvano Motorized Louvered Pergola costs $5,490 for 3 × 3 m (about 10 × 10 ft), $6,990 for 3 × 4 m (about 10 × 13 ft) and $8,990 for 4 × 4 m (about 13 × 13 ft). Product prices only. Freight, tax, unloading, installation and custom engineering are quoted separately.

What does the product price include?

The product price covers the pergola itself:

  • Powder-coated aluminum posts and beams
  • Double-wall aluminum louvers that rotate from 0 to 120 degrees
  • A motor hidden in the frame
  • Hidden drainage: rain runs from the louvers into the beam channels, down through the posts and out near the post bases
  • 304 stainless steel fasteners

The louvers are controlled by remote.

Before you order, email [email protected] and ask for the packing list for your size, so you know exactly which parts arrive.

What isn't included in the price?

These items are quoted separately:

  • Freight to your delivery address
  • Tax
  • Unloading at your property
  • Installation
  • Custom engineering, if your site needs it

What other costs should you plan for?

Some costs sit on your side of the project. They depend on your site and your local rules, so get a local quote for each one.

Permits and HOA review

Many cities and counties require a permit for a pergola, and an HOA may have its own review. Fees and requirements vary. The pergola permit guide lists the questions to ask your building department and your HOA.

Foundation or base

Each post needs a sound base. A concrete slab, pavers, a wood deck and bare ground all need different preparation. Confirm the foundation and base fixing against the product drawings and local codes, and ask a local contractor what your surface needs.

Electrical work

The motor needs power. A licensed electrician should plan the power route and the connection. Many places treat this as electrical work with its own permit or inspection.

Site preparation and access

Leveling the area, clearing the post spots and moving the packages from the delivery point to the patio are part of the project. Walk the route from the street to the patio before you order, and note gates, steps and tight turns.

Wall-mounted or freestanding

A pergola planned against a house wall and a freestanding pergola need different site work. The freestanding vs wall-mounted guide covers what to check for each.

Which size should you choose?

Pick the size from how you'll use the space, then check the price.

  • 3 × 3 m ($5,490): compact dining for up to 4, or a lounge set.
  • 3 × 4 m ($6,990): dining for 4–6, or a layout along a wall or fence.
  • 4 × 4 m ($8,990): dining plus lounge under one roof.

Product prices only. Freight, tax, unloading, installation and custom engineering are quoted separately.

Measure before you decide. A size that leaves no room for chairs, doors or walking paths costs the same and gets used less.

How does ordering work?

  1. Pick a size and check your site. Measure your space, decide on freestanding or against a wall, and check the delivery route.
  2. Check local rules. Ask your building department and your HOA, if you have one, what they require.
  3. Email [email protected]. Send your size, patio photos, mounting plan and delivery address. Ask for the packing list for your size.
  4. Your pergola is built to order. Louvano is a China-based DTC brand. We sell directly to US homeowners through louvano.com, and each pergola is built after you order.
  5. Plan receiving, electrical and installation. Line up the foundation, the electrician and the installer before the delivery arrives.

After your order, email [email protected] with questions about care, controls or parts.
