Before the truck arrives
Confirm the booked delivery service, access restrictions, unloading equipment and a dry staging area.

Compare the package labels
Compare the number and identity of packages with the shipping documents. Record missing or unreadable labels.

Record visible damage
Photograph packaging and any visible damage before and during unpacking. Ask the carrier how to record an exception on its delivery record.

Keep the affected parts aside
Keep packaging and damaged parts available for review. Avoid installing a component that appears unsafe or does not match the approved specification.

Contact the team
Send the order reference, delivery date, package labels, photographs and a description of the issue. Check the order terms for reporting deadlines.
